Kent Sopris is running to represent the 107th Assembly District which includes the Town of Bethlehem in Albany County, rural Rensselaer County, the Cambridge and Greenwich areas of Washington County and Valatie, Kinderhook, Chatham and Ghent in Columbia County.

His commitment to shaping effective public policy while bringing various communities together began early in life as he learned at the knee of his dad who was very involved in Greene County politics. After working in Congress, the State Assembly, the State Senate and at the NYS Department of Transportation, Kent is now the Executive Director of the New York Association of Convenience Stores.

Throughout his career, Kent has fought the good fight for small businesses, economic development, transportation, energy, healthcare and telecommunications. He’s ready to bring his commitment to policy and people to the 107th Assembly District.

Kent has already been endorsed for the Tuesday, June 25th Democratic Primary by:

  • Albany County Democratic Committee
  • Rensselaer County Democratic Committee, and
  • Washington County Democratic Committee
